2020 CLOSING DATE:  SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 13

All memberships are now all sold out for 2020.

Updated hours can be found on the hours page

Here are the main changes you can expect. Updates will be made as the Tompkins county health department adjust their guidelines.  Maintaining the safety of pool members and staff is our most important goal this season.

- 50% of our maximum capacity may be present at the Swim Club at any given time.  Currently that is:
    - 92 members may be at the swim club during normal business hours.
    - 15 members may participate in early morning lap swimming at a time.

- Capacity limits will be maintained with an online reservation system.  Once you join the pool, then you will be invited to the reservation software on Omnify.com
  • Members will be able to reserve one swimming shift per day.  This can be booked online up to 2 days (48 hours) in advance, similar to restaurant reservations, for the regular hours.  Early morning lap swim sessions can be reserved 1 weeks in advance.  You must reserve a spot for every member that will be coming to the pool.
  • If a shift still has availability but you have already used your one per day, you can go to the pool at the time of the available shift and register with the lifeguard at the door after all reservations have been checked in.

-Masks are required to enter the swim club as mandated by New York State. This will be strictly enforced because violation could result in the Swim Club being shut down.
  • Lifeguards will wear a mask at all time, except when in the lifeguard chair
  • Every adult and child over 2 years of age must wear a mask in the following situations:
    • When entering and exiting the swim club front gate
    • In and around the changing rooms and bathrooms
    • At and around the snack bar
  • You do not have to wear a mask while in the water or at a table/chair, where you can maintain the appropriate social distancing
  • It is the parents' responsibility to manage their family's social distance while at the swim club and in the water

Other changes:
  • No floats in the pool
  • There will only be 1 lap lane during regular pool hours, to start the season
    • This will still provide a buffer to the deep end and maximize the free swim space
  • Locker rooms:
    • will be one directional with the traffic flow clearly marked
    • Benches will have seating spaced out, but please try to use them minimally
  • Tables and clusters of chairs will be spaced out 6 feet apart.  Please don't move them
  • Guests will not be allowed at this time.
  • The area around diving board will be cleared of chairs and tables
    • The space will be used for the socially distanced diving board waiting line
  • All swim lessons and swim team will be cancelled
  • Large social events, specifically food based events will be cancelled
  • Pavilion rentals and birthday parties will not be allowed the season
  • Outside programs will not be able to rent the pool
  • Capital fees, scheduled to be paid this year, can be postponed until next season
